Tributes paid to Bijubabu’s memory at Paradip

Reporterstoday, PARADIP, APRIL 18:  The 22nd death anniversary of legendary leader and former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik was solemnly observed at the East India Oil Refinery Workers Union (EIORWU) premises near Zero Point here on Wednesday.

EIORWU president and BJD leader Santosh Kumar Pattnaik and others offered floral tributes at Bijubabu’s statues at Rahama, Kujang and Paradip.

In the evening a memorial meeting presided over by EIORWU president Pattnaik was held in the union premises.

EIORWU vice-president Manindra Guru,Paradip Port Land Loser Farmers Association president Chinmaya Das, secretary Mihir Kanta Sahoo, senior member Netrananda Samal and many others spoke highly of Bijubabu for his unparalleled contributions for the development of Paradip as well as of Odisha.

The meeting was coordinated by Arup Pattnaik and Ashok Kumar Nath.
