‘Shootout at Wadala’ Director Sanjay Gupta Dies at 59; Film Industry Mourns Loss

Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta, best known for directing Shootout at Wadala, passed away on October 30, 2026. The reported cause of death is an accidental fall at his residence in Mumbai’s Versova area.

According to preliminary reports, Gupta reportedly fell in his bathroom during the night and suffered a head injury. His family discovered the incident the following morning.
