Says Mineral Wealth Can Help Tackle Unemployment; Vows Coordination with State Government
Odisha Governor-designate Braj Mohan Ram will arrive in the state shortly to assume office, with employment, healthcare, education and farmers’ welfare among his key priorities.
In his first reaction following the appointment, Ram said he would work in coordination with the state government and engage with the Chief Minister and citizens to address Odisha’s key concerns.
Highlighting the state’s rich mineral resources, he said Odisha’s mineral wealth could play a significant role in tackling unemployment and creating job opportunities.
Expressing gratitude to the central leadership and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for entrusting him with the responsibility, Ram said he would work towards the state’s progress and the welfare of its people.
“After assessing the situation in the state through discussions with the Chief Minister and citizens, we will take appropriate steps towards its progress. It is our duty to serve the people,” he said.
