Bharat 6G Symposium 2026 Concludes, Five MoUs Signed for Global Collaboration

The 3rd International Bharat 6G Symposium 2026 concluded at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, with a focus on strengthening India’s role in global 6G technology development.

Organised by the Bharat 6G Alliance alongside India Mobile Congress 2026, the event brought together over 75 experts, including 30 international delegates, to discuss the roadmap for IMT-2030.

Union Minister of State for Communications Dr Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani stressed the need to combine technological self-reliance with global collaboration. He said 6G development must prioritise affordability and accessibility, including the integration of terrestrial and satellite networks to connect remote areas.

Five MoUs were exchanged with GSMA, one6G, GTI Alliance, 6G Innovation Forum Taiwan and VoICE to promote joint research, spectrum harmonisation and collaborative trials. The Bharat 6G Alliance also released 10 white papers focusing on secure, resilient and sustainable networks.

Meanwhile, the Department of Telecommunications announced the Emerging Science, Technology and Innovation Conclave (ESTIC) 2026, scheduled for October 27–29 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. A special session on “Intelligent Networks and Quantum Communication” will be held on October 28.
