Odisha Govt to Recruit 1,726 Technical Staff to Strengthen Public Healthcare

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has announced a major recruitment initiative to strengthen the state’s healthcare system by filling 1,726 technical vacancies across government health institutions.

As part of the drive, the Health and Family Welfare Department will recruit 1,108 Pharmacist Officers, 238 Ophthalmic Officers, and 380 Medical Laboratory Technicians. The move is aimed at addressing the shortage of skilled healthcare personnel and improving the delivery of medical services in hospitals and health centres across Odisha.

Officials said the recruitment process has already been initiated, and the appointments are expected to enhance medicine management, laboratory services, and eye care facilities, ensuring better healthcare access for people throughout the state.

The government believes the recruitment will significantly strengthen the public health infrastructure and improve the overall quality and efficiency of healthcare services in the state.
