College Student Drowns in Kolab Reservoir in Odisha’s Koraput

Bhubaneswar: A college student drowned while bathing in the Kolab dam reservoir in Odisha’s Koraput district on Friday, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Moses Khosla, a resident of Kolab Nagar in Koraput. He was an undergraduate (Plus 3) Commerce student at Semiliguda College.

According to reports, Moses had gone to the Kolab reservoir along with a group of friends to film social media reels. After filming, he entered the water for a bath along with others, during which he reportedly drowned.

On receiving information, Fire Brigade personnel reached the spot and recovered the body from the reservoir after a search operation.

Police have seized the body and sent it to SLN Medical College and Hospital in Koraput for post-mortem examination. An investigation has been initiated to ascertain the circumstances leading to the incident.
