Khariar Additional Tahsildar Suspended Over Disciplinary Action
The Odisha Government has suspended Bhupinder Singh, Additional Tahsildar of Khariar in Nuapada district, following disciplinary proceedings initiated by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department.
Singh, an Odisha Revenue Service (ORS) officer, faces action under the Odisha Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1962.
According to official sources, the suspension order was issued after the department reviewed allegations against the officer. During the suspension period, Singh’s headquarters will remain at the office of the Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC), Northern Division, Sambalpur. He cannot leave the headquarters without prior permission from the competent authority.
The government clarified that Singh will receive only a subsistence allowance as per the Odisha Service Code during the suspension period.
