Bomb threat email triggers panic at Malkangiri court

Malkangiri: The District and Sessions Court in Malkangiri premises was left in disarray for some time after receiving a threatening email that claimed a bomb had been planted inside the court premises. The email triggered panic among the people inside the court premises.
Soon after receiving the email, judges, lawyers, and court staff immediately evacuated the complex as a precautionary measure and police rushed to the spot to inspect the presence of the bomb.
Police launched a thorough search operation with sniffer dogs and a bomb disposal squad.
Further investigation is underway to ascertain the credibility of the threat. Meanwhile, the security around the court has been tightened.
Earlier, the Delhi Police had arrested a man for sending fake bomb threat messages via emails to government offices, schools and courts, triggering panic. The police nabbed the accused from Mysuru.
