Husband Kills Wife, Hides Body in Septic Tank; 4-Year-Old Son Reveals Crime in Nabarangapur

Nabarangapur: In a shocking and gruesome incident, a man allegedly murdered his wife and concealed her body inside a toilet septic tank in Bargaon village under Raighar police station limits of Nabarangapur district.

The crime came to light after the couple’s four-year-old son revealed the chilling details before villagers. According to reports, the child told locals that his father had killed his mother and hidden her body in the toilet tank.

Sources said the incident took place on Saturday when Subash Gond and his wife, Manei Gond, returned home around noon after attending a wedding with family members. Soon after, an argument reportedly broke out between the couple. In a fit of rage, Subash allegedly killed his wife in front of their children.

After realizing she was dead, he kept the body inside the house throughout the day. Later that night, around midnight, he allegedly dragged the body and dumped it into the septic tank.

The following day, the accused attempted to mislead villagers by claiming that his wife had left the house. However, when locals grew suspicious and repeatedly questioned him, he failed to give clear answers. It was then that the young child disclosed the truth, narrating the entire incident.

Shocked by the revelation, villagers immediately informed the police. Acting on the information, Raighar police reached the spot and recovered the body from the septic tank late Sunday night. The accused husband has been arrested.

Further investigation into the case is currently underway. Police have not yet issued an official statement.
