Plus-III Student Dies After Self-Immolation in Ganjam

Bhubaneswar: A Plus-III student succumbed to burn injuries at MKCG Medical College and Hospital after allegedly setting herself on fire over a love affair.
The incident took place on April 28 in Bhetanai village under Kotinada police limits in Ganjam district. According to reports, the girl poured kerosene on herself and set herself ablaze.

She was initially rushed to Aska hospital and later shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital as her condition worsened. Doctors said she had sustained over 60% burn injuries, including on her face and neck.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances leading to the incident.
