CPET Application Deadline Extended Till March 18

Bhubaneswar: The Higher Education Department of Odisha has extended the last date for submission of applications for the Common PG Entrance Test (CPET) to March 18, 2026.

According to an official notification issued by the department, the earlier deadline for submitting applications was March 15. Candidates can now complete and submit their application forms through the SAMS portal until 11:45 PM on March 18.

The CPET is mandatory for students seeking admission to postgraduate programmes for the 2026–27 academic session in various universities and colleges across the state. The entrance examination is scheduled to be conducted from April 27 to May 10, 2026.

Admissions to postgraduate courses will be based on the marks secured by candidates in the CPET.

Applicants can visit the SAMS portal (www.samsodisha.gov.in) to fill out and submit their Common Application Form (CAF) before the revised deadline.

The department also informed that the CAF edit link will be activated on March 19, 2026 from 11:00 AM, allowing applicants to make necessary corrections in their submitted forms, if required.
