Rs 50 lakh cash, jewellery seized from cattle mafia’s house

Bhadrak: The Keonjhar and Bhadrak police seized Rs 50 lakh cash and jewellery including gold during raid at the house of cattle mafia in Mullasahi under Bhadrak’s Purunabazar police station.

The accused, identified as Sheikh Rajan, had bundles of Rs 500 notes stashed at his house.

As per police sources, a total of nine officers, including one DSP, two inspectors, six sub-inspectors, and two platoons of force, are involved in the raid. The raid is being conducted under Section 107 BNS, and after obtaining a search warrant from the court.

Simultaneous raids are also underway in four other districts,  Jajpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Khordha with 46 teams deployed.
