Odisha Vigilance Conducts Raids at Five Locations Linked to Koraput Forester

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance on Thursday launched simultaneous searches at five locations linked to Niranjan Satapathy, a Forester with the Koraput Forest Division, in connection with allegations of possessing disproportionate assets.

According to an official release, the searches are being conducted by a team comprising six Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), seven inspectors, and other vigilance personnel. The operation is being carried out under search warrants issued by the Special Vigilance Judge, Bhubaneswar.

The locations under search include two triple-storeyed residential buildings at Jharpada in Bhubaneswar, Satapathy’s parental house at Mukundapur in Jagatsinghpur district, and his government quarters along with his office room at Semiluguda in the Koraput Forest Division.

Vigilance officials said the searches are still in progress, and further details are awaited.
