10 foot long python rescued in Cuttack

Barang: A 10 foot long python has been rescued from the Barang area in Cuttack district of Odisha late at night on Friday. The huge snake was rescued from the Madhupur village near the Trushulia-Barang main road.

As per reports, the locals were discussing that the python might have come from the Chandaka sanctuary in search of food. It was crossing the road at the end of the Madhupur village when people spotted it and informed the Snake Help Line.

On receiving the information, the snake helpline members rushed to the Madhupur village and rescued the huge snake. Upon observation it was found that the snake was about 10-foot long.

Later, the snake catchers took the python with them and safely released it into its natural habitat at a lonely place in the nearby Chandaka Dampada reserved forest area.
