Rajendra Dholakia’s mortal remains to reach Odisha today

Nuapada: Rajendra Dholakia’s mortal remains will reach his birthplace in Odisha today. After reaching his house in Khariad Road of Nuapada district, the last rites will be performed in the crematorium of Khariar Raod, the native place of the Nuapada MLA.
A pal of gloom has descended in Nuapada district following the sad demise of Sri Dholkia. The Nuapada MLA passed away yesterday while under treatment in a hospital in Chennai. He had been suffering from kidney disease for a long time.
Dholkia was a four time MLA. He was affected with kidney related ailments. Earlier, he was a minister. He won the 2024 Odisha Assembly election, securing 61,822 votes after contesting from BJD.
He was a MLA from 2004 to 2009 as an independent candidate. Besides he was MLA of Nuapada from 2009 to 2014 and from 2019 to 2024. Both these eletions he won after contesting from BJD ticket.
