527 New Corona Cases Detected in Odisha

Bhubaneswar (Reporters Today Bureau): A total 527 persons in Odisha tested positive for deadly Coronavirus in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 10,624. Of the total fresh cases, 338 cases have been reported from different quarantine centres while 189 are local contacts. Contact tracing and followup action is underway, said Health and Family Welfare department.

The cases have been reported from 26 districts: Angul (1), Baleswar (26), Bargarh (1), Bhadrak (2), Balangir (21), Cuttack (17), Dhenkanal (1), Gajapati (3), Ganjam (215), Jagatsinghpur (4), Jajpur (25), Jharsuguda (4), Kendrapada (5), Keonjhar (7), Khordha (50), Koraput (6), Malkangiri(3), Mayurbhanj (10), Nabarangpur (3), Nayagarh (18), Nuapada (4), Puri (16),  Rayagada (1), Sambalpur (1), Sonepur (5)  and Sundargarh (78).

With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 3860. While 6703 patients have recovered in the state so far, 42 succumbed to the virus.
