23-year-old girl gets mother killed for her government job, property in Jaipur

Jaipur: In a shocking murder case, a 23-year-old woman in Jaipur planned the murder of her mother to gain control of family property and secure a government job.

The victim has been identified as Neeraj Sharma (45), worked as a lower division clerk (LDC) in a court and the accused is her 23-year-old daughter Ayushi Sharma.

As per police, Ayushi conspired with her uncle and cousin, hired contract killers for Rs 7 lakh and got her mother run over by a Scorpio SUV in an attempt to make the murder look like a road accident.

As per investigators, the incident occurred on July 3 between 4:30 pm and 5:00 pm in Jaipur’s Pratap Nagar area. Neeraj was returning home after dropping her son at a coaching centre when a Scorpio, travelling at around 130 kmph, rammed her. The impact flung her body nearly 100 feet into the air, killing her on the spot. The driver fled with the vehicle after the incident.

The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras, which became a crucial part of the investigation.

Police have arrested seven people, including Ayushi Sharma, her uncle Mohan Swaroop and other conspirators Mohit Sharma, Akash Sharma, Arvind Sharma, Hemant Sharma and Rohit Jatav in connection with the case.

As per preliminary investigation, the accused planned the killing to obtain a compassionate appointment in a government job after the mother’s death and claim rights over the family’s property.
