Youth dances waving gun during Ganesh idol immersion in Khordha

Tangi: A youth danced while waving gun during Ganesh idol immersion procession in Khordha district of Odisha yesterday. However, after getting information Police conducted raid and lifted the youth along with the arm, Tangi Police Station IIC Rabindra Kumar Bhujbal informed.

The youth has been identified as 26 years old Seshadev Mahapatra of the Panaspur sahi of Tangi.

As per reports, the Lord Ganesh idol immersion procession of a Yuvan Sangha of Tangi was going on under Tangi Thana in Khordha district last night. The youth of the club were dancing to the music of DJ at the Chilika Chhaka of Tangi when it was seen that a started dancing to the tune of the DJ’s song while waving a pistol.

On receiving the information, police conducted raid on the procession and lifted the youth along with the pistol. He has been detained while further inquiry of the matter is underway.
