Youth critical after miscreants attack him with sword

Bhubaneswar: A youth sustained critical injuries after some unknown miscreants attacked with a sword near AIIMS road in Bhubaneswar today early morning.

The victim has been identified as Chintu, a resident of Patrapada in Bhubaneswar.

As per sources, Chintu was returning home after watching Khandagiri Jatra, when some miscreants attacked him with sword. He  sustained deep injuries to multiple parts of his body and is reported to be in critical condition due to excessive blood loss.

Following the attack, local residents rushed him to AIIMS Bhubaneswar, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

According to preliminary reports, the attack has been suspected to be the result of previous enmity.

On being informed, Police reached the spot and have launched an investigation into the matter.
