Woman Traffic Constable Missing in Bhubaneswar for a Week

Bhubaneswar: A 25-year-old woman traffic constable posted in the Capital city has been missing for nearly a week, causing deep concern among her family, colleagues, and the police department.
The missing constable has been identified as Shubhamitra Sahoo, who was residing in a rented house at Surya Nagar (Unit-7). According to reports, she last reported for duty on September 6. While she was scheduled to return home after her shift ended around 7 pm, she never came back.
Worried family members lodged a complaint at the Capital Police Station, following which a missing person case was registered. During the probe, police seized her mobile phone from her rented accommodation and are currently analyzing her call detail records (CDR) for possible clues.
Shubhamitra’s father, who also met the Twin City Police Commissioner, urged authorities to step up efforts to trace his daughter. “She went to duty in the morning but never returned. I have full faith in the Department and hope they will do the needful,” he told reporters.
Police sources said that multiple angles are being investigated and dedicated teams have been deployed to track her whereabouts. Meanwhile, her disappearance has left the family shattered and raised anxiety among her colleagues in the city’s traffic wing.
