VSSUT student found dead near bridge under mysterious circumstances

Sambalpur: Mystery remains to shroud after a B.Tech student of VSSUT University in Burla of Samabalpur district has allegedly killed self after jumping from the PC Bridge late last night.
According to information, a student of final year pursuing his B.Tech in Mechanical from Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) allegedly jumped from the bridge. He was identified as Anjaneya Das, a resident of Jajpur.
On receiving the information, police reached the spot and recovered the body.
The police is investigating the matter. The reason behind his death is yet to be ascertained.
Police is yet to find out if he was alone or someone else was present with him at 12.00 last night when the incident happened.
It is worth mentioning here that the VSSUT authorities had issued a notice barring the students from going outside beyond 10 pm.
Similarly, questions as to why he went out so late at night is unanswered.
In another incident, surrounding the college, as many as two professors of the Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) in Burla of Sambalpur district in Odisha have reportedly been suspended for misconduct and harassment to women.
As per sources, disciplinary action has been taken against two professors of the VSSUT in Burla of Sambalpur district on Friday for misconduct and harassment to women.
