Vigilance nabs ASO on graft charge

Surjit akumar dhal,CUTTACK, APRIL 11:  Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday nabbed a Assistant Section Officer working in the office of Engineer–in-chief in Bhubaneswar while accepting bribe to process an application for Contractor’s license.

According to the Vigilance Directorate here, ASO Dillip Kumar Bisoyi working in the Office of the Engineer-in-Chief (Civil), Odisha, Bhubaneswar was caught red-handed while demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs.8,000 from a complainant Jatiranjan Ganapati Dehury of Karanjiapada village in Keonjhar district for processing the license of ‘A’ Class Contractor in his favour.

The bribe money was recovered from the pocket of the ASO.

His residential Government quarter at Bhubaneswar is being searched while he has been arrested and forwarded to the Court.
