Vigilance cell books one on graft charges

Adarsh Rout, Bhubaneswar: Vigilance Cell  on Monday at about 12 noon arrested one  Sri Prafulla Kumar Pati, working as Accountant in the office of  Block Education Officer, Gurundia Block, District Sundargarh.He was   caught red-handed by officers of Sambalpur Vigilance while demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs. 4,500/- (Rupees Four Thousand Five Hundred) from complainant Sri Purna Chandra Bilung, Assistant  Teacher (contractual) of Suleguda UP School, under Gurundia Block, Dist- Sundargarh.The complainant alleged that he was asked to pay the bribe amount for regularisation of his service from 8.8.08 along with services of 8 other contractual Asst. Teachers of Sole Gram Panchayat. The bribe money was seized from him in presence of witnesses.
