Vice President CP Radhakrishnan arrives in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Vice-President of India, CP Radhakrishnan has arrived in Odisha’s Cuttack on Friday. The Vice President has attended the Parakram Diwas celebrations organised by the Ministry of Culture in Cuttack. The Parakram Diwas is being celebrated at the 129th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at his maiden residence in Odia Bazar of Cuttack.
He paid floral tribute to the statute of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and visited other galleries of the museum.
This is the first time Vice President CP Radhakrishnan is visiting Odisha. Upon arriving at the Biju Patnaik International Airport here, the V-P headed straight to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Museum in Cuttack and hoisted the national flag at around 9.30 am.
He will also inaugurate the Netaji Sanskruti Bhawan and an exhibition on the freedom fighter organised by the Ministry of Culture at the interpretation centre of the Netaji Memorial.
The VP CP Radhakrishnan was accompanied by Governor, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi,and Chief Secretary Anu Garg.
In view of the VP’s visit, all public access to the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Museum has been barred till 2pm in the afternoon. Traffic restriction has also been put in place some routes in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack due to the arrival of the VP. Nearly 30 platoon police forces have been deployed for the security of the Vice President.
