Vaccination Bribery Case Investigated

Jaleswar (Ajit Kumar Sahu): A viral video of a bribery deal is being investigated today. Dinabandhu Jena, a fourth-class employee of the Pratappur Community Health Center in Baliapala Block, engaged by Herald, took money from people, wrote down mobile numbers on paper, and asked who it would be written for, a video clip of which went viral.

Behind him, Bunty, son of Batakrishna Panigrahi, a security guard, working under an agency in the hospital, sitting next to the computer. The computer was running, and some medicines and papers were piled in front of him. He noted many mobile numbers. A video clip of it went viral from mobile to mobile and was published in various media outlets, for which the health department was blamed.

It simply came to our notice then. Four days after the incident, today, on the order of Chief District Medical Officer, Dr. Dulal Sena Jagdev, Dr. Sashanka Shekhar Chowdhury came to the Pratappur Health Center for investigation. The CDMO assured that, appropriate action will be taken on the basis of the investigation report.
