Upasna Mohapatra And Her Husband In Trouble Over Assault On Tenant In Odisha Capital

Bhubaneswar: Upasna Mohapatra, BJP leader and daughter of late Congress leader Lalatendu Bidyadhar Mohapatra and his son-in-law Subharansu Biswal have been allegedly accused of misbehaving with a tenant, destruction of private property, and forcing the victim to vacate the house located in IRC Village area in Bhubaneswar yesterday.
The couple had reportedly bought a home in the Nayapalli area in which the tenant, a businessman had been staying.
As per the reports, an FIR lodged by Tanya Ray, daughter of victim Pranab Kumar Ray, in Nayapalli police station. The victim alleged that on Tuesday a group of 50 men along with two women barged into the house. . Upasna and Subharanshu ordered the goons to vandalize their property, added Tanya.
The goons have assaulted them, vandalize their property and Upasna allegedly abused them using filthy language the complainant alleged, adding that Upasna was drunk
Tanya also mentioned that the goons attacked her mother and made sexual advances towards her mother. She further alleged that her father made to write a compromise letter at gunpoint and forced the family to vacate the house as soon as possible.
