Two maoists killed in encounter with security forces near Malkangiri border

Malkangiri: Two maoists were killed in an encounter between security forces and the naxals on Saturday in the Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh near border area of Malkangiri.

According to sources, the DRG, STF and CRPF launched a joint Kobra Jawan operation in the maoi-infested area and got into gun fight with the naxals. In the gunfight, two maoists lost their lives.

Reports have informed that top Maoist leader Papa Rao was in the spot during the encounter. The encounter is currently underway.
