Truck rams into bike: 3 of a family die in Keonjhar

Banspala: In a tragic accident, as many as three people of a family died after a truck rammed into their bike. The incident happened on the National Highway 49 at Jagamohanpur under Telakoi police limits in Keonjhar district.

According to information, the three members of a family including a man, his wife and their daughter died on the spot after a truck rammed into their bike.

They were residents of Bahadapasi village under Barakota police limits and were going on their bike on Monday evening.

On receiving information, police rushed to the spot and started an investigation by enquiring into the matter. After checking the CCTV footages police seized the truck from near the Jansanpur toll gate.

In another incident of road accident on Tuesday, four people had a close shave after their car banged against a divider. The car was badly crushed and dented but the four people inside the car were saved unhurt.

The accident occurred while they were enroute Balasore from Bhubaneswar. The car lost control near a Dhaba and repeatedly hit the divider. As a result, the car was completely crushed beyond recognition.

The four people inside the car were rescued and admitted to a nearby hospital. The cause of the accident is Balasore’s Soro however has not been ascertained.
