Tripura Skill Development Delegation to Visit Odisha

Bhubaneswar: A four-member delegation from the Directorate of Skill Development, Government of Tripura, will visit Odisha on January 13, 2026, to study the state’s skill development initiatives and operational framework.

The delegation, led by Pradeep K., Director of the Directorate of Skill Development, Tripura, aims to gain first-hand insights into Odisha’s best practices in skill training, including training methodologies, industry linkage, infrastructure utilisation, and overall operational models. The visit is part of Tripura’s plan to replicate a similar and effective skill development framework in the state.

Ahead of the visit, the Skill Development and Technical Education (SDTE) Department, Government of Odisha, has instructed the Directorate of Skill Development and the Chief Executive Officer of the Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA) to make necessary arrangements for accommodation, transportation, and other logistical support. A liaison officer will also be appointed to ensure the smooth conduct of the delegation’s visit.

As part of the programme, the Tripura delegation will tour the World Skill Center in Bhubaneswar to study Odisha’s advanced training infrastructure and innovative approaches to skill development.
