Three suspects arrested in BJP leader murder case in Kalahandi

Kalahandi: The Kalahandi police on Friday arrested three suspects who were involved in murder of senior BJP leader Fakir Rana.

Rana, husband of Dam Karlakhunta Sarpanch Snigdha Rana, was stabbed to death by unidentified miscreants near the panchayat office under Madanpur Rampur police limits on Wednesday evening.

The attack took place around 8 pm, when the assailants assaulted him with knives and fled from the scene. Locals rushed the critically injured leader to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Yesterday, Madanpur Rampur police arrested two people in this connection on basis of complaint lodged by the Sarpanch.
