Sundargarh & Sambalpur MPs Donate to COVID-19 Fund

Bhubaneswar (reporters Today Bureau): Two Odisha MPs Jual Oram and Nitesh Ganga Deb have pledged funds from MPLAD to fight against novel coronavirus. While the member from Sambalpur, Nitesh donated Rs 2.50 crore, Sundargarh MP Jual Oram contributed Rs 1 crore from his LAD fund.
“In order to assist the Central/State government and district administration in my parliamentary constituency for fighting the deadly virus, I am giving all my MPLADs of Rs 2.50 crore for COVID-19 Relief to be used for medical equipment,” Nitesh wrote to Sambalpur Collector. He urged that the entire amount to be utilised in three districts that come under his parliamentary segment.
Recently, Ganga Deb had announced that he along with his family will remain in home quarantine as part of precautionary measure to prevent spread of COVID-19 following his son’s return from the United Kingdom.
