Successful Rescue Operation in Bankoi Area

A daring rescue operation was conducted by the Khordha police on September 10, 2025, at around 8:15 pm, resulting in the safe rescue of two kidnapped individuals. The victims were abducted by seven accused persons who arrived on three bikes and allegedly used blank firing to intimidate.

Key Highlights of the Operation:

– Kidnapping and Chase: The accused persons took the kidnapped individuals towards the Patabandha Dam site. Upon receiving information, the police team, led by the IIC Bolgarh, informed the SP and SDPO and proceeded to the spot. Senior officers, including the SP Khordha, arrived with a platoon force and initiated a chase to rescue the kidnapped persons and apprehend the accused.
– Rescue and Apprehension: The accused persons abandoned the kidnapped individuals near the Baliapata jungle, where they were rescued by the police team in an injured condition. During the chase, the accused persons fired blanks to terrorize the police, but two accused individuals were apprehended from inside the Karadapal village jungle with the assistance of Fatehgarh (Nayagarh) police.
– Recovery of Evidence: Two bikes used by the accused persons were recovered, along with blood-stained clothes and other evidence.

Victim Care:

– Medical Attention: One victim has been referred to AIIMS for better treatment, and their condition is reported to be stable.

– Collaboration and Coordination: The operation was successful due to the collaboration and coordination between the Khordha police and Fatehgarh (Nayagarh) police. Senior officers, including the IIC Model PS, IIC Sadar, and RI Khordha, played a crucial role in the rescue operation.
