Subhadra Yojana Funds to Be Released on January 22

Deputy Chief Minister and Women & Child Development Minister Pravati Parida announced on Sunday that the government will disburse financial assistance under the Subhadra scheme to newly registered beneficiaries on January 22.
Parida had earlier fixed January 18 as the release date, but she revised it to January 22.
The Odisha government will provide financial support to 4,57,681 women under the scheme. The beneficiaries include newly enrolled women, those reinstated after verification, and women added during grievance redressal hearings.
- The government will transfer Rs 5,000 as the first instalment to 1,78,398 newly registered women.
- It will also release assistance to 2,55,265 women reinstated after verification.
- Authorities included 24,018 beneficiaries during grievance hearings.
The Subhadra scheme, a flagship initiative of the Odisha government, empowers women financially, improves socio-economic conditions, and ensures safety and well-being. Each eligible woman receives Rs 10,000 annually in two instalments of Rs 5,000 each.
Officials stressed that the scheme strengthens women’s financial independence and enhances social security across the state.
