SOA summer techno camp for school students to commence on june 3

Bhubaneswar, May 22: The second SOA Summer Techno Camp for school students will be held at the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), faculty of engineering and technology of the SOA Deemed to be University, from June 3 to 9.Students of Class six to eleven are invited to attend the camp which will give them the exposure to Project Based Learning in the field of Mechanical, Electrical, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics, Civil Engineering, Computer Application, Climate Science, Robotics and Mechatronics (example Drone), Physics and Mathematics, a SOA release said.There will be no registration fee for attending the camp which will be held every day from 10 am to 1 pm.
The last date for registration is May 31 and the contract person will be Ms. Sweta Rani Biswal (Mob: 9438157232, e-mail: swetaranibiswal@soa.ac.in).The projects to be focused by the Department of Mechanical Engineering will include, among others, sterling engine, centrifugal water pump, vaccum cleaner, hydraulic bridge, human robot and mini hydraulic power plant while the Department of Electrical Engineering will teach the children on the functioning of emergency light, hand driven DC generator, wireless power, fire alarm, LDR based street lighting, touch switch for electrical appliances etc.
The Department of Civil Engineering will teach the students about projects based on simple principles of Civil Engineering. The focus themes will include road safety, bridges, water treatment system, sewage treatment system and simple principles of surveying based on Geometry. The Department of Physics will make the students understand the simple principles of Physics in day-to-day life, the release said.
