Six Youths Held at Titilagarh for Smuggling Ganja Hidden Under Shirts

Balangir: In a startling incident, the Government Railway Police (GRP) at Titilagarh in Balangir district arrested six youths for smuggling ganja in an unusual manner. The accused had taped packets of ganja to their bodies and worn oversized shirts to conceal them.
According to reports, the police team on patrol noticed the youths behaving suspiciously at the railway station and decided to conduct a search. During the frisking, officers discovered multiple ganja packets tied around their waists, cleverly hidden under their shirts.
The police seized ganja worth around ₹2.22 lakh from the accused. Preliminary investigation revealed that the smugglers had taken advantage of their lean physiques and loose clothing to avoid detection.
Officials said that the Titilagarh Railway Police have launched a detailed probe to identify the masterminds behind the smuggling network.
The incident highlights the increasingly inventive tactics used by traffickers to bypass enforcement agencies. However, the alertness and quick action of the GRP personnel ensured that the smuggling attempt was foiled and the accused were caught red-handed.
