Six-Day Odisha Visit by President Murmu Ends

Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu concluded her six-day visit to Odisha on Friday, culminating a comprehensive schedule of official, academic, and cultural engagements across five districts of the state. The visit, which underscored her focus on inclusive growth and community-driven development, spanned Khordha, Jajpur, Balasore, Puri, and Mayurbhanj.
During the course of her tour, President Murmu interacted with tribal women and youth, emphasizing the importance of empowering marginalized communities and fostering sustainable progress. Her engagements reflected a strong commitment to the holistic development of Odisha’s diverse population.

Ahead of her departure for New Delhi, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi presented the President with a copy of “Pragati Prabaha”, a book outlining the state’s developmental journey, at Lok Bhawan in Bhubaneswar. The gesture highlighted Odisha’s achievements and future aspirations.
At Bhubaneswar Airport, President Murmu was accorded a warm farewell by Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Secretary Anu Garg, and Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation Mayor Sulochana Das, alongside other dignitaries.
Taking to his X account, Chief Minister Majhi described the President as “the pride of our Odisha soil” and expressed his appreciation for her visit. He noted that the President’s presence and guidance had left a lasting impression on the people of the state and would continue to inspire efforts towards realizing the vision of a “Developed Odisha.” He also offered prayers to Lord Shree Jagannath for the President’s good health and long life.
CM Majhi reiterated his gratitude for President Murmu’s insights and encouragement, stating that her visit has motivated the state government and its citizens to accelerate their work towards inclusive and sustainable development.
The President’s visit is widely seen as a significant milestone that reinforces the focus on community engagement, empowerment of tribal and youth populations, and collaborative progress across Odisha.
