Six Arrested in Kidnapping of Mayurbhanj Businessman Sunil Agrawal

Baripada: Police have cracked the sensational kidnapping of businessman Sunil Agrawal, arresting six accused, including the mastermind. A TI Parade of the two main accused was held inside Baripada Jail on Friday.

Agrawal was lured to NH-18 near Baisinga on the pretext of viewing land and then abducted. The kidnappers demanded ₹80 lakh ransom, causing widespread alarm.

Police recovered three luxury cars, two motorcycles, four Telenga knives, and ₹9 lakh out of the ₹40 lakh ransom amount already collected.

Investigations revealed the plot was planned by people known to Agrawal over land disputes. The prime accused, Raja alias Rajesh Barik, was taken on remand and the crime scene was recreated. The complainant identified the accused during the TI Parade, marking a key step toward conviction.
