SI recruitment scam, look out circular issued by Crime Branch

Bhubaneswar: In the Odisha Police SI recruitment scam, a lookout circular has been issued by the Crime Branch. The circular has been issued against both Shankar Parshti and Khas Mesaki Muna Mohanty.

According to reports, these two accused cannot leave the country. A special team has been formed by the Crime Branch is continuing its raids outside the state. Odisha Crime Branch is conducting raids in Jharkhand and Bihar.

In addition, the Crime Branch has frozen the accounts of ten accused persons. The accounts of these 10 people including Shankar Parshti and Munna Mohanty, have been deactivated. In addition, Rs 15 lakh has been seized from these six accounts. Since the mobile chatting of 110 of the arrested candidates has been deleted, these have been sent to Bhubaneswar Forensic Side Laboratory SFLL for retrieval once again.

Meanwhile, the question is where is the mastermind of the police SI written exam scam. The Crime Branch has conducted a thorough investigation into the matter. An explanation has been sought as to why the contract with Indian Telephone Industries Limited for conducting the exam should not be cancelled.

A reply has been sought within 10 days. The Odisha Police Recruitment Board-OPRB has sought clarification from ITI through a notice. Although it took the responsibility of conducting the exam, ITI did not conduct the exam itself and handed it over to Silicon Techlab Private Limited. Silicon handed over the exam responsibility to Panchsoft. ITI informed OPRB about the transfer of responsibility to Silicon. But Silicon did not inform Panchsoft about the transfer of responsibility. A report has been sought on why OPRB was not informed.
