Sex Racket Busted in Nayagarh Hotel; One Arrested

Bhubaneswar: Police on Monday busted a sex racket operating from a hotel under the Itamati police station limits in Nayagarh district and arrested one woman in connection with the case.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of officers, under the supervision of the Nayagarh SDPO, conducted a raid at the hotel. During the operation, the woman was taken into custody, and Itamati police registered a case based on the incident.

“Police have booked one person so far, and the investigation is ongoing. We are also probing whether any other individuals were involved,” said Subash Chandra Panda, Additional SP, Nayagarh.

The accused is set to be forwarded to court today, while the investigation continues to determine the full extent of the racket.
