As the Gajalaxmi Puja festival approaches on October 7, 2025, the police department is making extensive preparations to ensure a peaceful and joyous celebration. Today,DIG, Central Range, Dr.Satyajit Naik,IPS is reviewing puja arrangements in Kendrapara along with SP,Kendrapara and outlined key instructions to maintain law and order, safety, and security during the festival.

Key Instructions:

1. Conduct extensive raids to detect and prevent illegal liquor sales, gambling, and other unlawful activities.
2. Ensure adequate police presence at puja pandals and cultural programs.
3. Manage traffic effectively to prevent congestion, accidents, and injuries.
4.Installation of CCTV cameras and implement fire safety measures.
5. Monitor sensitive areas and regulate processions passing through minority communities.
6. Brief puja committee members and participants to avoid slogans or actions that may offend any religion or group.
7. Prevent illegal collection of chanda and take action against violators.
8. Take measures to prevent eve teasing, molestation, pickpocketing, and other crimes.
9. Designate parking areas and prevent illegal parking and collection of parking fees.
10. Encourage puja committees to engage volunteers to assist police in traffic and crowd management.
