SD&TE Ministers reviews activities with Singapore counterpart

Surjit Kumar Dhal, Bhubaneswar, Sept 4: State’s Minister Skill Development and Technical Education (SD&TE) Premananda Nayak held discussion with Singa pore Education Minister Ong Ye Kung in Singapore and reviewed the engagement between Singapore Institute of Technical Education (ITEs), State Government, and Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA). Both the Ministers expressed their satisfaction on the progress made on the engagement so far, an official release here said.
Both the leaders agreed for further expanding relationship in the area of Skill Development in the State. The release said that Nayak proposed to invite 100 Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) students from Singapore to intern in Odisha. The teacher’s exchange programme for ITIs is working as per the plan, the release said adding, it has also been proposed to include teachers from polytechnics institutions of Odisha to participate in the exchange programme as well.
The meeting was held in the presence of India’s Ambassador to Singapore Javed Ashraf, Chairman, Odisha Skill Development Authority(OSDA) Subroto Bagchi, CEO ITEs Bruce Poh, Director of ITEs Boon Tiong, Director and Directorate of Employment cum CEO OSDA Rashmita Panda and Director DTE &T Reghu G, the release said.
