Schoolgirls Harassed, Threatened; Three Youths Detained in Paradip

Paradip: Police have detained three youths in Jagatsinghpur district for allegedly harassing schoolgirls, passing lewd remarks, and issuing violent threats.

According to reports, the victims — all Class 9 students from Bishwali — complained that the accused frequently followed them, made offensive comments, and even threatened to assault, rape, and kill them.

Acting on the complaint, Paradip Lock police registered a case and detained the suspects for questioning. Their ages are being verified through matriculation certificates and Aadhaar cards, officials said.

Further action will be taken based on the outcome of the investigation.
