Sanjay Singh, The New Commissioner of BMC

Bhubaneswar (Reporters Today Bureau): In a major Indian Administrative Service reshuffle in Odisha, Sanjay Kumar Singh was appointed as the Commissioner of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) replacing Prem Chandra Chaudhary. The 1997-batch IAS Officer Sanjay Kumar Singh is currently serving Odisha Government as the Commissioner-cum-Secretary of Skill Development & Technical Education Department with Additional charge as Commissioner-cum-Secretary of Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department.

He is allowed to remain in additional charge of Vice Chairman, Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) and CEO of Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited in addition to his own duties.

Similarly, IAS Officer Hemant Sharma (1995 batch), presently serving as the Principal Secretary of Industries Department with additional charge of Chairman, IPICOL, is allowed to remain in additional charge of Principal Secretary of Skill Development & Technical Education Department in addition to his own duties.
