Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Gets Updated Release Date

After some confusion around the cancellation of the Galaxy S26 Edge and how that affected the release date of the entire Galaxy S26 series, it looked like Samsung had settled on a typical January launch. But a new leak suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S26 will now land in February, with the phones going on sale in March.
Has The Samsung Galaxy S26 Release Date Been Delayed?
Reputable leaker Ice Universe, who has a long and accurate track record, posted on X that the Samsung Galaxy S26 series will be launched in February, at a Galaxy Unpacked event, with the phones going on sale in March. Ice Universe has long maintained that this is Samsung’s launch schedule, previously claiming that the release had been “postponed.”
Previously, Korean business and finance site ChosunBiz published a story in November that claimed to have spoken with a source at Samsung, who said that the Korean company will stick with its original late January announcement date. This would see the Galaxy S26 series going on sale in February—the exact same launch plan as the Galaxy S25 lineup.
No rumors have provided a specific date yet, but it’s not uncommon for Samsung to announce and release its phones in February. The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S22 handsets were unveiled and released in February 2023 and February 2022 respectively. The Galaxy S20 was launched in February 2020 and went on sale in March, as did the Galaxy S10.
In all previous Galaxy S release dates, the phones were announced and made available to buy roughly two weeks later. So if Ice Universe’s information is accurate, the Galaxy S26 series — and Galaxy Unpacked — will happen in late February with a March release date.
