Samantha’s ‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’s ₹10 Crore Day 1 Collection

Mumbai: ‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’ is a multi-starrer and has a strong ensemble cast with Diganth, Gulshan Devaiah, Gautami, Manjusha and Sreemukhi in pivotal roles along with Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Directed by Nandini Reddy, the film stands out as one of Samantha’s notable releases this year. The project has drawn attention for its cast lineup and the collaboration between Samantha and the filmmaker performing well both in India and overseas on its opening day.

According to early estimates from Sacnilk, the film collected around ₹5.35 crore nett in India on Day 1. Its domestic gross is estimated at ₹6.20 crore, with the film running in 2,658 shows across the country.

The overseas markets also did well with the film minting around ₹4.50 crore business gross overseas. This took its global Day 1 total to around ₹10.70 crore.

The Telugu version led the collections with a nett collection of ₹5.15 crore while the Tamil version added around ₹20 lakh nett on the opening day. In terms of screenings, the Telugu version was shown in 2,040 shows, compared to 618 shows for the Tamil version.

Region-wise, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana drove most of the business, contributing nearly ₹4.75 crore gross. It was followed by Karnataka with ₹90 lakh and Tamil Nadu with ₹38 lakh.

The film also saw improving audience turnout as the day progressed. Telugu 2D shows started with 26.15% occupancy in the morning, increased to 51.38% of night shows, indicating interest is growing. Premium formats fared even better with the Telugu EPIQ version reporting an impressive 96% overall occupancy. Hyderabad theatres were packed to capacity with multiple night shows running at or near full capacity.
