Salary to be withheld for not creating ICC committee

Bhubaneswar: The salaries of institutional authorities will be withheld if they fail to establish an Internal Complaint Committee (ICC), Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said on Thursday.

According to an existing order, colleges without an ICC committee will face this penalty. The government has set a one-month deadline for all colleges to establish ICC committees, Parida stated.

Additionally, action will be taken against individuals making false allegations under the POSH Act. To raise awareness about the POSH Act, programs will be conducted at the block level, following the initiative started at Lok Seva Bhavan.
