Saffron Party Leader Jayaram Pangi Tests Corona Positive

Koraput (Reporters Today Bureau): Senior Saffron party leader and former Parliamentarian Jayaram Pangi has tested positive for COVID-19. The former parliamentarian from Koraput Lok Sabha Constituency, who is under home quarantine following his test report, asked others who have come in contact with him recently, to undergo COVID-19 test.

Source said that 65-year-old politician had recently underwent COVID-19 test after he fell sick. His test result came out positive yesterday.

Pangi was elected to the parliament from Koraput Lok Sabha seat on Biju Janata Dal (BJD) ticket in 2009 elections. He left the BJD and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2017. He contested the polls in 2019 and lost to Congress’ candidate Saptagiri Ulaka.
