Rourkela: 44 kg IED unearthed from underground

Rourkela: A large quantity of explosives have been seized in Rourkela in Sundargarh district of Odisha on Thursay. The cache of explosives had been kept.
As per reports, 44 kg of IED have been unearthed from underground in the Odisha-Jharkhand border forests of Saraikela and Saranda. The IED was seized by the joint security forces.
As per reports, the 44 kg IED was hidden in a plastic container and buried underground. The IED was safely destroyed by the detonation team.
As per reports, Chaibasa and Saraikela police, Jharkhand Jaguar, CRPF and SSB forces are involved in the search operation.
It is to be noted that after the Maoists blew up a railway track with a blast on the 3rd August, search operations have been intensified by joint security forces from Odisha and Jharkhand to suppress the Naxals.
