Roof Collapses at Cuttack Railway Station; Train Services Disrupted

Cuttack: Train services were disrupted at Cuttack Railway Station on Wednesday afternoon after part of the roof on Platform 1 collapsed during ongoing redevelopment work.
The incident occurred around 3:45 pm when an adjoining old wall gave way, causing debris to fall onto the railway tracks and blocking train movement on Platforms 1 and 2, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) said in a statement.

Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported. Restoration work was taken up immediately, and railway officials said the affected tracks would be cleared within 45 minutes.
ECoR officials also assured passengers that necessary safety protocols were being followed during the redevelopment work and that efforts were on to resume normal services at the earliest.
