Rising minor girl rapes in Odisha: Cong to launch statewide stir tomorrow

Reporters Today, Bhubaneswar, July 23: To protest the rising crimes against women and growing minor girl rape cases in the state, the Odisha Congress will resort to a statewide protest tomorrow.

Senior Congress leader Narasingha Mishra said at a press conference that the party will stage protest in all district headquarters from 10 AM to 1 PM tomorrow. The party leaders will also submit memorandum to respective district Collectors in this regard.

Mishra said the CM has no moral rights to continue in his post in view of deteriorating the law and order the state.

Yesterday, Leader of Opposition Pradipta Kumar Naik had alleged that more than 6,000 girls and boys have gone missing from the state within a span of four years while only 40 per cent of them have been traced.
